Kim Darga is the Associate Commissioner of the Division of Preservation at the New York City Department of Housing Preservation at Development, which includes the divisions of Preservation Finance and Property Disposition and Finance. In this role, she leads the agency’s preservation-focused strategic initiatives and financing programs, including development and implementation of the preservation related initiatives in Housing New York and Housing New York 2.0, the City’s plan to build and preserve 300,000 affordable units. Kim oversees HPD’s preservation pipeline, including the financing of multifamily, single-family, and mixed-use affordable housing. Prior to joining HPD, Kim worked in various economic development and urban planning capacities in New York and elsewhere. Kim received a M.P.P from University of Michigan.
